It was the last night of our high school band

Your Mama’s there and she’s snapping pics
Facebook Live without a single click
Pretends to stream the band onstage
But on her screen is her son’s fat face
Ryan got engaged and moved to Arizona to become an audio engineer
The school said they’d place him in a position in his field
Somewhere across the US when his nine months were up
And hopefully she’d be able to move out and meet him
Rookie Card had their last show just over a month ago
When the drummer called it a day.

Rookie Card played their last show a couple of months ago
When the old bassist came back on drums
And Rookie Card they soldiered on.
